Note to Self: Change the Locks
What happens when your ex-husband shows up on your doorstep looking for a place to live, just when you’re about to get remarried? 28 year old, out of work editor/ writer Elizabeth is about to find out. Her annoying British ex-husband, Simon has been “displaced” after forgetting to pay his rent and has nowhere to go. As much as she seethes at the sight of him, Elizabeth can’t turn her back on the man who was once the love of her life. After all, they were happily married for two years before “the incident” ripped them apart. There’s just one teensy problem. Elizabeth’s fiance, Austin, has no idea that she was previously married. Nor is he aware that Simon is bunking with his future bride. Elizabeth must keep the two away from each other until she is ready to come clean about her marriage and divorce. This proves exhausting in close quarters while planning a wedding. As Elizabeth and Austin prepare for their upcoming nuptials, it gets more and more difficult to hide the truth from Austin. Especially, when Elizabeth is starting to have doubts about what the truth really is.
All She Ever Wanted
Julie Hendricks thinks her life sucks. Well, maybe not “sucks”, but her beautiful five year old twins are fighting non- stop, her stay at home husband drives her insane, she’s got a huge house to take care of and to add to her stress, she’s the director of nursing at the local hospital, giving her way too much to do with not enough time to do it. Ok, maybe that sounds more like she has it all; so then why does she feel like something’s missing from her life?
Enter Alex, the epitome of a tall, dark and handsome stranger who just happens to be a new nurse in the hospital where Julie works. Sexy and flirty, he gives Julie butterflies and tingles in places she didn’t know she had. At first, not believing this gorgeous man could possibly be attracted to little ole her, Julie ignores his advances. But Alex doesn’t take no for an answer, relentlessly pursing the 36 year old mother of two. With Julie’s home life reducing her to tears, she falls for Alex. Hard. It’s just a harmless fling, she tells herself. I can stop whenever I want. But like all addictions, Julie’s to Alex is a tough habit to break once she starts.
What Julie doesn’t know is that her torrid affair with her employee may not end the way she planned. Alex carries a secret with him which might cost Julie everything she has. Can Julie realize her mistake and fix it before she loses what matters most to her? All She Ever Wanted will have readers turning pages until the very end. We don’t always get what we want and when we do, we should hold onto it with both hands and never let go for a second.
