Isabella Louise Anderson & Lizzie Lamb

Today I have two guests, one from Texas and one from the UK!

I have to admit, my new guest was a new author to me. But after reading the blurb for her book, “The Right Design”, I can’t wait to add her to my list of favorites!

Isabella grew up with a book in her hand, and to this day nothing has changed. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America and has been featured on several blogs. While Isabella doesn’t blog a lot, she focuses her time on featuring other writers, along with working on her next book.
She created Chick Lit Goddess to share the love of the following genres: Chick Lit, Contemporary Romance, Romance, and Romantic Comedies! She loves featuring authors and their books.
Currently, she lives in Dallas with her husband and cat. She enjoys spicy Mexican food and drinking margaritas, and can be found spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Texas Rangers, and reading.
Isabella’s short story, Meet Me Under the Mistletoe, was featured in Simon & Fig’s Christmas anthology, Merry & Bright, in November 2013. The Right Design is her first novel.

The Right Design is celebrating its first birthday in the month of March…it’s on sale for 99 cents! Get it now before the price goes up!

Next up is Lizzie Lamb, author of contemporary romance.

With Scottish, Irish, and Brazilian blood in her veins, it’s hardly surprising Lizzie Lamb is a writer. She even wrote extra scenes for the films she watched as a child and was almost drummed out of the playground for keeping all the good lines for herself. Luckily, she saves them for her readers these days. After thirty four years as a primary school teacher, Lizzie decided it was time to find out if she had it what it took to become a published author. Her last post was as deputy head of a large primary school in Leicestershire. Here you can see her taking her final assembly, bidding farewell to her pupils and explaining why she wanted to become a writer. Leaving the chalk face behind, she toyed around with various romantic sub genres before deciding that rom coms were her ‘thang’.
She joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association and spent the next few years honing her craft. It was at an RNA Conference that another writer encouraged her to write from her heart and not focus too overtly on what she ‘believed’ agents and publishers were looking for. After some deliberation, Lizzie formed the New Romantics 4 with three other members of the RNA’s New Writers’ Scheme and went down the self-publishing route. It was the best decision she ever made. She finished Tall, Dark and Kilted and published it as a paperback and formatted it for kindle download on all amazon sites in November 2012. Tall, Dark and Kilted – themed Notting Hill meets Monarch of the Glen – echoes her love of her homeland in every page.
Since then she has published Boot Camp Bride – romance and suspense on the haunting Norfolk Marshes – and was shortlisted for the New Talent Award at the Festival of Romance. Lizzie is currently working on her third romantic comedy – working title, Scotch on the Rocks.

Notting Hill meets Monarch of the Glen.
A brooding laird, a feisty can-do heroine.
A clash of temperaments and cultures.
Can the push and pull of sexual attraction between Ruairi and Fliss ever lead to
HAPPILY EVER AFTER?
Fliss Bagshawe longs for a passport out of Pimlico where she works as a holistic therapist…
After attending a party in Notting Hill she loses her job as a holistic therapist and with it her dream of becoming her own boss. When she’s offered the chance to take over a failing therapy centre, she grabs it with both hands. But there’s a catch – the centre lies five hundred miles away – in Wester Ross, Scotland.
Fliss’s romantic view of the highlands populated by hunky Men in Kilts is shattered when she has an up close and very personal encounter with the Laird of Kinloch Mara, Ruairi Urquhart. He’s determined to pull the plug on the business, bring his eccentric family to heel and eject undesirables from his estate – starting with Fliss. Faced with the dole queue once more, Fliss resolves to make sexy, infuriating Ruairi revise his unflattering opinion of her, turn the therapy centre around and sort out the dysfunctional Urquharts.
Can Fliss tame the Monarch of the Glen and find the happiness she deserves?
Read Tall, Dark and Kilted to find out . . .

In her new novel, Boot Camp Bride, Lizzie tells the story of up-for-anything rookie journalist Charlee Montague who poses as a fake fiancée in order to infiltrate a boot camp for brides.
Can romance flourish in the Norfolk marshes?
YOU decide . . .
“Take an up-for-anything reporter. Add a world-weary photo-journalist. Put them together . . . light the blue touch paper and stand well back!

Posing as a bride-to-be, Charlee Montague goes undercover at a boot camp for brides in order to photograph supermodel Anastasia Markova. At Charlee’s side and posing as her fiancé, is Rafael Ffinch award winning photographer and survivor of a kidnap attempt in Columbia. He’s in no mood to cut inexperienced Charlee any slack and has made it plain that once the investigation is over, their partnership – and fake engagement – will be terminated, too.
Soon Charlee has more questions than answers.
What’s the real reason behind Ffinch’s interest in the boot camp? How is it connected to his kidnap in Columbia?
In setting out to uncover the truth, Charlee puts herself in danger. And, as the investigation draws to a close, she wonders if she’ll be able to hand back the engagement ring and walk away from Rafa without a backward glance.

Thank you so much for featuring my books on your blog, Heather. I am currently writing #3 and am on the last chapter. Woo Hoo. Another romance set in the Highlands of Scotland. I’ve read Isabella’s THE RIGHT DESIGN and really enjoyed it. I hope you and your books will feature on my blog once I get #3 ‘up there’.
